MELBOURNE, FL – Representative Mitch Needelman (R-Melbourne) and his wife, Joan, are collecting toy donations that will be distributed to needy children at their annual “Children’s Holiday Magic” party this month.

Mrs. Needelman has been organizing the party for 17 years. Representative Needelman joined her in the effort in 1996. “No child should wake up on Christmas morning with nothing under their tree. We want to make sure as many children as possible have a wonderful Christmas,” Representative Needelman said.

The party is held in conjunction with St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Palm Bay. Festivities kick off at noon on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the school, located at 5320 Babcock St. Gift recipients and their families are invited.

St. Joseph students use the occasion as a class project. The party will include face painting, clowns and other fun activities. Pizza, cookies and other holiday confections will be served. Santa Claus also will make an appearance.

Donations of new, unwrapped gifts for children up to age 17 can be dropped off at the District 31 office, located at 1565 Sarno Road, Suite A in Melbourne.

For more information on the party, or to make a donation, call the district office at (321) 984-4848.
